General Information

Topics

Oral and poster presentations are invited on all topics relating to Optics and Interferometry with Atoms, including atom interferometry, Bose-Einstein condensation, atom lithography, optical lattices etc

Invited Speakers

Confirmed invited speakers include P. Hannaford (CSIRO), J. Helmcke (PTB), M. Kasevich (Stanford), D. Pritchard (MIT), J. Dalibard (ENS).

Programme

Talks, which will last from 25-45 minutes, will take place in the mornings and also late afternoon. Poster sessions, of which there will be two, will occur before dinner in the evenings. Some free time is envisaged in the afternoons for exploring Oxford and the surrounding area. The provisional programme can be seen here.

Abstracts

Abstracts which should be no longer than two sides of A4 including all diagrams and references should be sent to Mrs S. Witney at the address below as soon as possible. Abstracts will not be accepted by fax or email. The deadline for abstracts is 1st May 1997.

Registration

The registration fee of 150 pounds should be paid on application to the conference. Details of how to pay this money and other financial information can be found here.

Accommodation

Accommodation and meals will be provided in St. John's College. This will cost 200 pounds which should be paid either on application or upon arrival in Oxford.

Financial Help

We are now in a position to offer some financial support for young researchers attending the meeting. Those wishing to apply for help should should go here for further information.

Dates

The conference will take place from 21st-23rd July 1997. Delegates should arrive on Sunday 20th July and leave on Thursday 24th July.

Deadlines

All applications forms and abstracts must be received by 1st May 1997.
